Getting started with Backhouse takes about five minutes. You'll sign in with your phone, give us a few details, and land in the app ready to message your assistant.

Sign in

Head to the Backhouse app, enter your phone number, and we'll text you a verification code. Enter the code and you're in. That's the whole sign-in. Use the phone you'll actually message from, since it's also how your assistant recognizes you when you text it. You can also get started straight from a text: message the assistant and it'll send you a link to finish setting up.

Create your profile

The next step asks for your first and last name. This is what shows up on emails your assistant drafts for you and in the people view of your workspace.

Add your email

Tell us the email address you'll use with Backhouse. Your assistant uses it when it drafts and sends email on your behalf.

Pick the option that matches your setup:

• Solo. Just me, managing my own deals.
• On a Team. I'm part of an agent team.
• Full Brokerage. I'm setting this up for my brokerage.

Solo agents skip the next step. Teams and brokerages name their workspace so everyone joining sees the same shared space.

Start delegating to your assistant

Once setup is done, you'll land in a fresh chat with your assistant. Send it a voice note, a text, or a typed message and it'll take it from there.
