Managing contacts
Add, edit, and organize your network
Your contacts in Backhouse stay current mostly on their own, because they're built from your real correspondence.
Adding contacts
- Ask your assistant. "Add Sarah Chen, sarah@example.com, 512-555-0142." It creates the contact and confirms.
- From your inbox. Once your email is connected, the people you actually correspond with show up as contacts automatically, no data entry.
- By hand. In the Contacts view, click New contact and enter a name, email, phone, and pipeline stage.
- Text a contact card. Share a contact card from your phone straight to your assistant and it files the details.
What a contact holds
Name, photo, multiple emails and phone numbers, a pipeline stage (New lead, Active, and so on), and notes for the context you'd otherwise lose, who referred them, what they're looking for, the thing they mentioned about schools.
Backhouse also tracks the relationship itself. When you first talked, when you last talked, and who reached out.
Everything in one place
Open a contact and you'll see their linked transactions, email history, and activity. Or skip the clicking and ask your assistant: "Pull up everything on the Hendersons."
